Major Change

Journeysystem

Journeysystem.png

The journey system was added.

It not only serves as a tutorial, but also offers further information and ideas with the help of trackable quests to help the players in the world of fractured and to give it a direction.

In addition to the quest descriptions, it contains helpful tips and icons that make it easier to solve the same.


Changes of Abilities and Spells

Many skills have been adapted and received smaller or larger changes. However, the biggest change is that entire schools got removed, added, expanded or reduced.

Ability and Talent Progress Revamp

The system has been revised.

Abilities still have to be unlocked by fighting monsters and progressing through the Book of Knowledge, but you no longer have to actively spend Knowledge Points to be able to memorize them.

Talent points are now unlocked upon reaching talent level, which is also a prerequisite for unlocking the new Proficiency mechanic.

The new Proficiency system has been added to the game.

The system is based on collecting Orbs of Proficiency and using them to create long-term bonuses in the various ability schools.

The maximum level that can be reached in profincy is tied to the talent level.

Monster ability casting behaviour

A new system got introduced and partially implemented (but not working at that time), where monster start to act according to situation. As example they will dont cast skills on cooldown and instead using them active to counter the player or react to certain situations.

Point of interest rework

Points of interest having now different colors on the worldmap, depending on the difficulty of the enviroment there. It also tells you now the challengerating of monster you can encounter there.


Craftingrework

Smelters now have a internal inventory. Also instead of a fixed timer, you can choose a timer between 4 and 16 hour for the smelting process, but depending on your choice it will take more ressources. (The longer the process, the more ressources you need but you also get more as results)


Enchanting property rework

All enchanting ressources received new or updated properties.

Also the visibility of the enchanting properties of a ressource got improved.

Maps overhaul

New places added:

  • Vulcano Region, a island in the middle of the Terra vulcan
  • Swamp region, a swampy region in the nothern part of Terra.

Places changed:

  • Jotunn Mountain, rework of the places, now with houses for Jotunns.

Tutorialrework

The whole tutorialmap got reworked and the tutorial got a revamp. More informations under Tutorial Island.


Quality of life changes

  • Carts from other players can be pulled from personal owned plots.
  • The inventory of cart stays open, when you take out ressources from it.

Rework & Adjustments within the hunger and rest mechanics

Hunger and Rest received two new stages and the old ones got revamped. Instead of losing maximal health or lose health over time, you have now the following buffs and debuffs depending on your gauge:

  • Rested: Your movementspeed is increased by 4%
  • Tired: Reduce movementspeed by 2%
  • Exhausted: You cannot run.
  • Sated: Your healthregeneration is increased by 10 health per second.
  • Hungry: Your healthregeneration is reduced by 5 health per second.
  • Starving: Your healthregeneration is reduced by 20 health per second.

Beginner protection change

  • Protection increased from 80.000 KP to 100.000 KP.

Monster abilities update

  • Several Monsters received updated or new abilities.

Tooltip rework

Tooltips got a visual revamp, now provide additional informations and you can expand the status effect information which will be applied by the skill with pressing alt for information about that status effect.

Status visibility update

Liferegeneration and Manaregeneration are now shown properly at the life and manabar.


Color of in-combat numbers adjustment

The visibility of colors in combat (Damage dealed, received, healed etc.) was improved. (Either by adjusting their size or by changing the color)


Bandage Rework

Bandage received a rework. Before the rework, they recovered instantly healthpoints based on (20 x Con) and had a cd of 4 seconds, now they increase the liferegeneration by (10 x Con) for 10 seconds.

  • New sound effects (Opening loot, Cooking, Opening Bank, Gathering from Trees)
  • New idle animations for monster and for gathering (As example bandits sorcerer received a praising animation when outside of combat)
  • Campfire marker on minimap

Adjusted effect of elemental status:

  • Warm stacks decay at 5 per second
  • Chilled stacks decay at 2 per second
  • Shocked stacks decay at 1 per second
  • Corrosion stacks decay at 1 per second
  • Poison stacks decay at 1 per second
  • Bleed stacks decay at 2 per second

Other Stuff

  • Buffs don't disappear when mounting
  • Rework of visual effects of various abilities
  • Small Stone weight changed from 1.5 to 1.0
  • Swapping a piece of armor sets all abilities on a 10 second cooldown who are not on cooldown

Bugfixes

  • Fixed various siege related issues, which bypassed siege mechanics.
  • Removed a dupe possibility by trading.
  • Fixed a issue where ranks had a linear kp requirement instead of the actual system.
  • Added the missing abilities from Tutorialenemies.
  • Fixed a issue with the "One of many talents" quest.
  • Fixed a issue where range attacks got shot randomly into the sky.
  • Elemental Stacks are now stacking properly with accurancy checks.
  • Fixed a issue where Brigdes on Terra was not acessable.
  • Added the missing indications which armor types are needed for skills.
  • Fixed a despawn and respawn issue with Termidian Matron.
  • Fixed a issue where Altars on Terra was not being able to use.
  • Fixed a issue where Young Wolf was attacking players and follow them, but normal Wolves would stay passive.
  • Fixed a issue, which prevented townowners to build farming plots in the town.
  • Fixed a issue that shields dont block non magical projectiles.
  • Fixed a issue where placing a Spike Trap can break the monster behaviour.
  • Doors from cities now open after the end of a siege.
  • The function to disable the intro cutscene by starting the game is now working correctly.
  • Repaired several item descriptions which gave a consoleerror.
  • Banks and Markets can now be properly deleted after a second from that type was build.
  • Fixed a respawning issue where people got stucked under the townhall.
  • Rabbits now stop to run into the river and get stucked there.
  • Weight now affects the possibility to Jump and Blink.
  • Chain Lightning no longer hit the same target multiple times when there is no other target close by.
  • Fixed a issue where critical chance was not properly applied to the abilities Explosion and Burning Pillar
  • Fixed a issue where Mind Strike did not applied dazed on weak enemies.
  • Fixed a issue where deleting a market with gouvernour power could block the possibility to build a new one.
  • Enchantingtables in starterowns are now working correctly once more.
  • Rafflesia no longer show the icon for small stones.
  • Fixed a issue where Fireball apply the same amount of warms stacks as damage dealt.
  • Fixed a issue where Firebolt, Shocking Lash, Frost Blast, Lightning Strike and Shocking Touch only applied one stack.
  • Fixed a issue where Fan of Flames and Forked Lightning dont apply stacks.
  • Fixed a issue where Frost Nova only applied two stacks.
  • Fixed a issue where warm and cold stacks could be overcapped and dont applied the effect, when a ability would deal more than 100 stacks from the status effect.
  • Fixed a issue where Hunger and Rest gauge randomly stop to update their current status.
  • Fixed a issue where the damage, when a bleeding target moves, will always the minmum possible.
  • Fixed a issue where the buffs for Rested and Well Fed dissapear while riding on a horse and also dont update properly.
  • Fixed a bug where a critical hit from Fan of Flames was showned as normal hit.
  • Ignite no longer apply double amount of warm stacks on the first hit and also is now working properly to double the amount of already existing.
  • Charge now increased the movementspeed properly.
  • Fixed a issue where warm and cold stacks due the weather could break the cap and let the player autoburn/autofreeze.
  • Fixed a issue where Arboreal Dragon Breath deals less damage as intendet.
  • Every item in the trinket crafting menu is now properly showing again. (Before only common clothes and bear claw pendant was shown)
  • Fixed a issue where you could craft necklaces with Plant Fiber.
  • Added Banks back to the startertowns of Aerhen and Terra.
  • Fixed a issue with loss frequencies of elemental stacks.
  • Fixed a issue where Wolves, Young Wolves, Dire Wolves and Foxes dont gave kp and drops in the northern region of Aerhen.
  • Fixed a issue where harvesting a coal node can unlock the stone book of knowlegde entry.
  • Added the missing flax plants on Tutorial Island.
  • Fixed a issue where it was not possible to create a nation under certain circumstances.
  • Fixed a issue where chill stacks dont applied the slow effect.
  • Fixed the issue that corrosion stacks decay faster as intendet.
  • Fixed a issue that bleeding and poison stacks decayed double so fast as intendet.
  • Whirlwind is now properly knockbacking hit targets.
  • Fixed a issue where Spike Trap always apply a fix amount of damage and bleed stacks, no matter the dexterity amount.
  • Fixed a issue where Puncturing Strike always crit and deals more damage as intendet.
  • Fixed a issue where Heart Piercing Strike was not able to crit but dealt more damage as intendet.
  • Net Trap is now trapping enemies for the intendet duration.
  • Fixed a issue where Hunter's Mark dont apply effects on the target.
  • Fixed a issue where Cleave Armor effect only last a second.
  • Lacerate bleeding stacks are now properly scaling with 3 x strength instead of 1 x strength.
  • Execute now apply the damage bonus after a sucessful killing blow.
  • Fixed a issue where the position would dont have a effect by using Spine Breaker Blow for damage calculation.
  • Fixed a issue where Split Earth only stuns for a second.
  • Verdant Regrowth now properly apply the health regeneration bonus.
  • Fixed several issues with Unholy Strength.
  • Earth Spikes is now applying the slow properly.
  • Fixed a issue where Concussive Strike, Heavy Blow, Crippling Strike and Bleeding Strike consumed mana when on cd and also double as intendet when using it.
  • Fixed a issue where Elemental Arrows dont goes on cooldown by deactivating them.
  • Fixed a mana calculation issue from Elemenral Armores.
  • Animal headresses can now only crafted with the animal head instead with a animal hide.
  • Fixed the tooltips for Thunderclap, Static Discharge, Static Pull, Stone Lance, Death Bargain and Corruption.
  • Added the missing amount of removed buffs from Disrupting Strike.
  • Fixed a issue, where the wrong message got showed when a snared target try to use a mobilityskill.
  • Fixed a issue, where using elemental cloack barriers or Glass Barrier and turning pvp stance on, let you suffer the negative effects of those.
  • Fixed a issue where imbuing table didnt worked.
  • Fixed a issue with the Quest "Fully Discover Creatures" cannot be completed.
  • Fixed a issue where corrosion stacks did not took armor into account.
  • Energy Blast has manacost again.
  • Added the missing skill Merciless Strike to the Bowman starter class.
